Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Reading is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Reading is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Kenhorst DQ is my favorite! The staff are super friendly and greet me by name when I come in. Kenhorst DQ has the best french fries around. And the Meal Deal is the best fast food value around (food, drink, & sundae). The menu varies periodically, and it's fun to try the new Blizzard flavors. This summer I discovered the delicious Lemonade Cooler. Make sure to get the DQ app, it has great deals and rewards!

This is by far the best Dairy Queen i have ever been too! Super clean, fast service, and the employees that work here are so sweet and very polite. This will be the only Dairy Queen in town i will be going too from now on. Thank you for the greatest service!

I would like to make a complaint regarding my recent experience at your Dairy Queen location. I run a school club, and after attending a field trip, our group stopped by around 9:30 PM to order dessert to go. Your posted closing time was 11:00 PM, so we expected normal service. As we were about to enter, an employee told us we had to use the drive-thru instead. I explained that we were not planning to dine inside and only wanted to quickly order food for the road, but we were still refused service inside and told to go through the drive-thru. This was frustrating and disappointing, especially since the restaurant was still open for another hour and a half. If the dining area closes earlier than the official closing time, that information should be clearly communicated to customers. Otherwise, it feels unfair to deny walk-in customers service while the business is still technically open. Our group ended up leaving unhappy because the situation felt unprofessional and inconvenient. I hope management can address this issue and improve communication and customer service moving forward so future customers do not have the same experience.

I ordered a hot fudge brownie sundae and they made me a hot fudge sundae. I made them aware of the mistake and they said oh well you going to have to pay more which I did. Then they go and put the brownies in a separate cup and handed it to me that way. I don't call that a hot fudge brownie sundae. Needless to say I'm not one that likes to see food thrown away so I did eat it. But I think I will have second thoughts of going back. I have gone there quite frequently before but was very disappointed this time.

Went to check out the Flamethrower Chicken. Was decent but not as hot as I would have liked. Tenders were as expected, came out hot. The Cheesecake Blizzard was made correctly. Restrooms were clean & smelled good. Liked to see the work this DQ has done with kids posted on the walls.
